_________________________________________________________________ so now I'm here... hi. I'm a n00b, signed up last week. my in game name is "Wesli" (Military - Scout), level 1, currently with 23 exp. points. currently located in the suburb of Tollyton, I've been keeping safe, gaining exp, collecting items and basically tuning into the game. No clear objectives as of yet. so I realise theres not much action going on right now, what with the holidays and christmas etc. I still need to read all other threads and get to know whats what. just thought I'd make a quick intro. any tips on gaining exp, buying skills etc would be much appreciated. I still got a bit to learn.

well I started out with nothing more then a axe and focused on my attacking skills, as your military you do get your skills at a better rate of points. I would get CC skills up first then focus on your "ranged" skills. Also dont waste your ammo untill you have the ranged maxed as its just a waste of shots and you wont hit shit. The other thing i really recomend you do is try and stick with the rest of us, a low lvl scout isn't a good thing to be as there the ones used as zed spies, so tend to get taken out as soon as they stay in a safe house, you stay with us and we will try and protect you, and if you get dropped at least we will be there to help you up. Just my oppinion anyways, you might get a better answer from one of the leaders.

Hey, I'm a new recruit too. At the moment, I have no idea where I should go to meet up with the rest of you. Currently, I am also a level 1 scout, but do have 133 XP saved up, going for nt employ. Heard scanning was a good way to get lots of xp, quickly.
Thanks, I'm currently in roachtown

Well, Roftwood's Hildebrand Mall isn't a bad place to start, fight some zeds and PKers, get revived fairly easily if you die, have access to lots of free stuff when you get the "Mall Shopping" tree...it works great.
Scanning WAS a good way to earn XP. Unfortunatly, it's not anymore. Now the best ways to earn XP are healing people and...well, healing people. Get yourself the skill that allows you to choose which shop to pilfer in malls, then raid the pharmacy. Get yourself tons of FAKs, then run around healing people to death...or something. I'm sure there's enough idiots that need help somewhere.

ah jeez, now I'm dead. what do I do?
there seems to be a couple revive points near me. one was a necro tech facility. I waited inside the building where there were two high level revivers, looked hopeful. logged in next day and some asshole had blown the shit outta me and baricaded the building.
meh.. could try the cemetery. are all cemeteries automatic revive points?

Not quite. They're iffy, if that. Just give us your location, we'll revive you...

I'm about to hit 75 experience points and will soon buy my first skill.
any advice on what my first skill should be?
basic firearms seems the obvious one. should help me gain XP quicker.

FREE RUNNING!
Thats the best one to have - means you can go from building to building without stepping outside (unless you have no option) means you can get in those EHB buildings - you just have to find the buildings that are deliberately set to VSB (often labelled "LEAVE AT VSB+2")
then worry about other skills

^its alright I'm a military scout so I had the freerunning ability from the start of the game. (i knew it would come in handy) so yeah, I just got basic firearms, which makes it a helluva lot easier to accumulate XP. seriously, wasting 30 action points just for 2 XP is ridiculous. it took me a month to buy my first skill and finally level up. hey, Sgt. Bee, seeing as you are the only active one around here, where abouts are you? you wanna add me to your contact list? atm I'm in Cape Avenue PD, Edgecombe [78,56] map...trying to find some more pistol clips.

Hello Wesli..
Sorry for the late reply... (Due to reasons I am not allowed to say)
ALL RECRUITS WHO WANT TO JOIN!
You are hereby accepted (I know its too late) to the SAS. If you don't want too, thats okay.. We understand...
But if you do, you will, from now on.. put "Special Air Service" in your group name.
Your first objective is to level up so that you can help us.
